Hello kids! Are you Curious to learn how stuff works and understand "what’s behind" science?Do you love doing hands on experiments to explore science? Are you excited to attend science classes and demonstrations at MIT and other top universities, taught by renowned scientists and professors?

Meet the Team behind Curious-Science & learning

Mamta M.S.

Founder and Center Development Manager

Mamta is fun loving and really enjoys teaching and working with students. She completed her master’s degree in "Organizational Behavior" at New York University Polytech. She believes in a method of teaching in which the students take the lead and the instructors assist. To encourage them to explore science, she started the “Curious Science & Learning” center.

Laura M.

STEM Specialist

Laura joined CSL in January of 2014. She has experience in teaching STEM subjects to elementary and middle school students. She is major in Biology. She has awarded Dean’s list at Umass Lowell. She is also a member of the Honors program. She attended Wilmington High School and graduated there as one of the top 10 students of her class.

Dr. Bish Ph.D.

Educator and Science Advisor

Dr. Bish is a scientist, advisor and educator. After finishing his Ph.D., he spent a couple of years doing his postdoctoral studies at New York University Polytech, before joining the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as a scientist. He believes that kids have bright and curious minds, and can be encouraged to expand their minds for creative development. Therefore, he made a goal to enable kids to explore science and devoted his spare time to “Curious Science & Learning”. Dr Bish's biography was listed in "Marquis Who's Who in America" (2010 edition). He was elected as "Fellow" of the American Institute of Chemists in 2003. He received the "Outstanding Invention Award" from NSF-Industry University Research center at NYU Poly. He has served on the Editorial Board, authored several patents, and written several peer reviewed scientific papers in prestigious journals.

Professor S. Lewis Ph.D.

Educator and Science Advisor

Dr. Lewis is a scientist, educator, and science advisor. She is currently the Director of the UTeach program at University of Massachusetts Lowell. After receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom (UK), she served as the Head of Science, Principal, and STEM coordinator in various schools in England. During her career as a teacher in the UK, she was actively involved in various local and national strategies aimed at raising the profile of science to encourage more students to pursue a career in the field. The research she is interested in is an inquiry based method of teaching, particularly the effect of using this pedagogical skill as opposed to traditional didactic style of teaching scientific concepts and how it would affect achievement and attainment of low ability middle school learners.

This Science program is very good and it certainly creates interest and enthusiasm among kids about science with hands on learning and explanation. Having a lesson of a topic, a test, homework and hands-on-activity in one class is very impressive and I can say that the kids are really learning something new in every session. Dr. Bish and teachers are very good at explaining to kids and considers the feedback from parents. I am very much impressed with this program and would definitely recommend others.
